Sterling Silver Wrap Rings (Approx 2 hours)

Fancy giving silversmithing a go but not quite ready for a full beginner 5-hour workshop? This shorter, more affordable taster workshop is just the thing.

You’ll start by having fun with a piece of copper, which lets you get a feel for the tools, test out textures and practise any stamping ideas you have. Once you’re happy, you’ll move on to your final piece using a pre-cut strip of sterling silver, which you can then shape into a wrap ring to fit any finger size.

The workshop price includes one strip of sterling silver and one strip of copper.

• No flames, sawing or soldering - just hammers, stamps and a couple of hours of creative fun.

• Daytimes, evenings and weekend sessions available.

• Suitable for ages 11+ (Participants under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the session.)

You’ll need a bit of dexterity for this one – the idea is to strike a steel stamp with a chunky hammer onto a narrow strip of metal (swearing is optional if you miss! Another good reason why we practise on copper first).

A perfect intro to silversmithing if you’re curious but not quite ready to jump in with both feet. Relaxed, informal and fun – then you leave with a ring where you can proudly say ‘I made that!’

Workshops take place in my studio in Drybrook, Gloucestershire.
Maximum group size is 4.
