.6th October 2026 (Tuesday) RUMMAGE, RESCUE & REMAKE 7-9pm

Session: RUMMAGE, RESCUE & REMAKE

Date: Tuesday 6th October 2026

Time: 7pm until 9pm

Come and rummage through a collection of broken, unwanted and forgotten costume jewellery, rescue the pieces that catch your eye and remake them into something completely new.

You might create:

• A quirky necklace
• A charm bracelet
• Earrings
• An anklet

This is a relaxed creative session rather than a formal jewellery-making workshop. I’ll show you simple ways to take jewellery apart, make links, use findings and connect different elements. You can then experiment with the materials and bring your own ideas together.

There isn’t one set project that everyone has to follow. You’re welcome to experiment and develop your own idea, but if one of my finished examples catches your eye, you can use it as inspiration or follow it more closely. There will be plenty of help available if you’re unsure where to begin.

The emphasis is on imagination, experimentation and enjoying the process. You don’t need any jewellery-making experience or a design prepared in advance - just come along, have a rummage and see what inspires you.

Please note that these sessions use costume jewellery and other non-precious materials. There is no soldering or heat involved.

You’re also welcome to bring broken or unwanted costume jewellery of your own. Separate bowls will be available if you would prefer to keep your pieces together rather than adding them to the shared rummage collection.

Please only bring pieces that you’re happy to dismantle or alter. These sessions are for costume jewellery and other non-precious materials; we will not be working with precious metals.

What’s included:

• Two hours of creative studio time
• A large selection of costume jewellery to rummage through
• Findings and connecting materials
• Use of the tools needed during the session
• Guidance and creative help from Ali
• Bottled water and biscuits

You’re welcome to bring your own refreshments if you wish - just please ensure any drink containers can be closed.

Group sizes are kept small, with a maximum of six people, so there will be plenty of space to rummage, experiment and ask for help along the way.

Price: £30 per person

Once booked, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Around 10 days before the session, I’ll send a reminder email with useful details such as directions to the studio.
