Project: Broken to Beautiful - Repurposed Costume Jewellery

A relaxed, adults-only evening craft session focused on creativity, reuse and transformation - not technical skills or precious metals.

This is a calm, welcoming space to slow down and reimagine broken or unwanted costume jewellery, turning it into something entirely new. The emphasis is on creativity, experimentation and enjoyment, rather than instruction or perfection.

What you’ll make

Using reclaimed broken costume jewellery, you’ll transform old pieces into something new. This might include:

• A quirky, reinvented necklace or bracelet

• A brooch with charms or layered details

• Earrings as wild as your dreams

• A small decorative or mandala-style panel (optional)

You’re free to follow inspiration from examples provided or create something entirely your own. The focus is on experimentation, repurposing and enjoying the process rather than aiming for a fixed outcome.

Your finished piece will be a one-of-a-kind creation, designed to be worn, displayed or enjoyed in a way that suits you.

Materials provided

• A generous selection of reclaimed broken costume jewellery

• Findings and bases suitable for wearable pieces (pendants, brooches, earrings, etc.)

• Optional small wooden panels for those who prefer a non-wearable outcome

• Non-toxic, solvent-free glue

• All consumables (glue, wipes, gloves, etc.)

You’ll be working mainly with handheld tools such as pliers and cutters. There is no soldering and no melting of materials in this session.

Session details

• Duration: Approx. 2 hours

• Group size: Maximum of 6 people

• Minimum numbers: A minimum of 2 participants is required for the session to run

• Skill level: No experience required

• Atmosphere: Relaxed, social and low-pressure

You’re welcome to bring your own drink if you wish (alcoholic or non-alcoholic). Bottled water will be provided.
