Project: Hammer-Textured Sterling Silver Bangle
Date: Wednesday 20th May 2026
Time: 10am until 1pm
Come and make your own hammer-textured sterling silver bangle in this relaxed, hands-on workshop, designed especially for beginners.
You’ll work with fresh sterling silver sheet and learn traditional silversmithing techniques including measuring, forming, soldering, hammer texturing and finishing. You’ll be guided through the process step by step.
The project is carefully designed to fit the session, allowing time to learn the techniques properly and finish a solid silver bangle that’s made to be worn and enjoyed.
This workshop is fully guided and beginner-friendly, with clear steps, plenty of demonstrations, and time to ask questions as you go. You’ll leave with a finished sterling silver bangle, made entirely by you.
Photos shown give an example of the style and finish. Texture patterns may vary, making each bangle individual.
• Approx. 3 hours of tuition in my Forest of Dean studio
• All tools and enough materials to make one sterling silver bangle
• Copper for practice and testing hammer textures
• Bottled water and biscuits
You’re welcome to bring your own refreshments if you wish - just please ensure any drink containers can be closed.
Group sizes are kept small (maximum of 4 people), so you’ll have plenty of support throughout the session.
Pricing (per person): Please see the drop-down menu.
If anything goes wrong on the day, extra silver can be purchased at cost price if needed.
If you’d like to book this as a private 1-to-1 session, simply select the relevant option from the drop-down menu.
Once booked, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Around 10 days before your workshop, I’ll send a reminder email with useful details such as what to wear, what to bring, and directions to the studio.
If you have any questions in the meantime, please feel free to get in touch via my contact page.
Thanks, Ali
